THE STUDIO Q&A

Q: What is The Studio Scituate Harbor?

A: The Studio is home base for Danielle Robertson Photography: it's where I have photoshoots, and do all my styling, editing and creating. If I'm not shooting on location, then this is where you'll find me. It's also where you will find local art exhibits, community events, and creative merch. I designed the studio to be both inspiring and versatile—with a spacious shooting area, private dressing room, editing workspace, gallery walls, meeting space, and a curated collection of props and backdrops. Natural light pours in through floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the harbor, and there’s art and creativity around every corner.

Q: Why did you open The Studio?

A: After many years of running my photography business from my basement and garage, I started looking for a space where I could dedicate myself to shooting, editing, and meeting with clients. When I found this spot, I realized it could be more than just a workspace for me—it had the potential to become a little haven where I could contribute and connect to my community through exhibits, education, and collaboration.

Q: What kind of photography do you specialize in?

A: I specialize in creative, thoughtfully styled photography. I especially love working with designers, artists, dancers, entrepreneurs, chefs... Basically anyone who wants to capture their talents through strong, expressive visuals. The Studio is where I shoot portraits, headshots, products, and branding. Most of my clients are people looking for images with personality and purpose—to showcase their business, brand, or family. Whether we’re shooting in the studio or on location, my goal is always to create images that feel personal, polished, and unique.

Q: Do you shoot on location [outside of the studio]?

A: Yes, absolutely. Much of my work over the years has been on location, and that won't change. The Studio gives me an opportunity to offer an alternative location to my clients. The controlled environment of a studio is usually preferred for headshots, product photography, and branding content.
